  **  Substitute Player Clarified  **

The rule regarding substitute players has been clarified.  The following will be implemented into the IWVYB Rule Book:

New wording 6. Playing Criteria: letter c. (Pinto & Mustang) or d. (Bronco, Pony, Colt/Palomino)...

        c.  Eight (8) players consititute a legal line-up.  If a team has less than eight (8) players fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled starting time of the game or at any time during the game, that team shall forfeit the game.  If a team only has (7) and/or eight (8) roster players present when the game is scheduled to start, with the concurrence of both managers involved in the game, a team may substitute an eight and/or ninth player(s) who are members of that division, and on the roster of a third party team, in order for the team to comply with the eight (8) player minimum rule and/or field a team of nine (9) players.  The manager of the team receiving the substitute player(s) will attempt to contact the substitue players' manager(s) prior to the game.  The notification is designed as a courtesy only and the approval of the substitute players' manager(s) is not required.  The eight and/or ninth player can play any position on the field except the pitcher position.

**  New Snack Bar Process  **

Gone are the days of parents being required to work at the Snack Bar.  Effective this season, IWVYB will charge each player a one-time fixed fee of $15 to cover the operating costs of the Snack Bar.  Managers will be responsible for collecting the per player cost for their team members and paying the IWVYB Snack Bar Director prior to Picture Day (March 11th).  Rule book will be amended accordingly.

As coaches, parents, and spectators, it is our responsibility to learn the rules of baseball.
IWVYB follow the rules of the Major League Baseball,
then PONY Rules, then ultimately, our local IWVYB Rule Book.
Please take the time to read through and learn these rules.
